Meta Ads Basics - FlashCard Series Part 1
As founders, some of you are running your own ads, others have hired agencies and would like to simply learn more about Meta Ads. I’ve gotten some replies letting me know you’d like to learn the basics of Meta Ads.
👉 I’ve started this Meta Ads FlashCard Series to help you learn the basics. Treat these like flashcards which you can view when you need to understand the basics.
The Meta Ecosystem
The ecosystem may seem complex at first, but here’s a visual I created that helps me understand the ecosystem.
Meta Ecosystem
Meta Assets
Assets are tied to your Business Manager which are tied to your profile page and business page. Examples of assets include:
Ads Manager
Facebook, Instagram Profiles
Pixels
Ad Accounts etc.
The Business Manager holds all your assets in one place. The Ads Manager itself can be considered as an asset.
The Ecosystem lets you power your Meta Ads Manager efficiently.
Ads Manager
The Ads Manager is where you will be going in daily to create ads, review performance, make changes etc. There are three tiers within the manager:
Campaigns define the goals behind your ads. Are you looking to find new customers, retarget visitors, gain product or brand awareness, generate leads?
Ad Sets give you ability to define who will receive your ads by targeting niches.
Ads are the creatives + copy + messaging. Ads are simply what your potential customer will be looking at.
The Ads Manager is an "asset" within your Ecosystem where you can create ads, define campaign goals and target your potential customers.
Why does this matter for me?
The purpose of leveraging Meta for DTC/E-Commerce companies is another channel of revenue. Everything in the ecosystem can be optimized to let you find new customers at low costs.
The Meta Ecosystem continuously changes, you’ve likely seen many changes already within the past few months. Having this basic understanding will help you continue building your ecosystem and adapt to new changes.
The next part in the Flashcard will focus on the Ads Manager it self and dive into more details.
If you need help with Meta Ads, we offer 1:1 sessions and consultations where we can help you scale your brand. Reply back to me and I’ll send you more information with a discount for subscribers!
